Program for Teaching Assistants
The Office of the Provost and The Graduate School sponsor a group of campus programs to assure that all new MSU TAs have suitable orientation and a sufficient level of English fluency before they begin teaching.
Teaching Assistant Program
The Teaching Assistant Program is responsible for the two orientations and English instruction (dependent on the SPEAK score) for TAs who do not meet the minimum SPEAK requirement.

Departments are responsible for familiarity with this information and for informing relevant TAs about the requirements of participation.
English Language Center
The English Language Center (ELC) is responsible for English language screening.
